Annual National Wage Review

Effective 1-July-2011, minimum wage rates will increase by $19.40 per week - equal to 3.4%  for the lowest paid workers - to $589.30 per week, or $15.51 per hour. Further information here.

Paid Parental Leave Scheme: from 1st January 2011, employees are entitled to apply for payment for up to 18 weeks at the minimum wage (currently $569.90 gross per week and $589.30 from July), from the Federal Government. Further information here.
