Australia
Employment conditions are generally referenced to Awards at either National, State or Industry level. For example, the (Modern) Manufacturing Award.

In Australia employees have minimum employment conditions:
- the guaranteed minimum wage rates
- maximum ordinary working hours (38 hours per week)
- protection from undue pressure, coercion and duress
- protection from unlawful dismissal.
In addition, all permanent employees are entitled to:
- four weeks paid annual leave
- 10 days paid sick/carers leave
- one year unpaid maternity or paternity leave.
